Where Design and Steak Meet at 54° Steakhouse

A warmly lit interior defined by dark timber, sculptural lighting, and composed dining zones sets the mood for a refined steakhouse experience on Amoy Street.

Located on Amoy Street in Singapore’s Central Business District, 54° Steakhouse presents a dining environment shaped by restraint, balance, and material clarity. Designed by HW Consultancy and constructed by HW Construction, the completed F&B space places emphasis on atmosphere and proportion rather than overt statements.

The interior palette centres on deep wood tones, olive seating, and soft ambient lighting that lends depth to the space throughout the day and into the evening. Custom joinery and bottle displays line the bar and dining areas, creating visual rhythm while keeping the overall look calm and composed. Sculptural pendant lights and wall fixtures add character without overpowering the room, while thoughtful spacing between tables allows each dining moment to feel considered and comfortable.

Rather than relying on dramatic focal points, the layout flows naturally through subtle zoning and consistent material language. The result is a dining space that feels polished and inviting, offering a sense of quiet refinement within the fast-paced CBD setting.

The design provides a fitting backdrop for the restaurant’s culinary focus. Named after the ideal internal temperature of a medium-rare steak, 54° Steakhouse centres its menu on premium beef treated with precision and respect for flavour. A proprietary seasoning blend developed through extensive testing brings balance and depth, enhancing rather than masking the natural qualities of the meat.

Steaks are prepared using a hybrid open-fire method that combines Australian Ironbark wood with Japanese white binchotan charcoal. This approach introduces gentle smokiness alongside intense heat, achieving a well-defined sear and carefully controlled texture. The technique reflects the same measured approach seen in the interior design, where every element serves a clear purpose.

Complementing the food is a thoughtfully curated beverage programme. The wine list features more than 120 labels, while the bar also offers a selection of handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, and over 30 whisky labels. Displayed as part of the interior composition, the bar becomes an integral visual and experiential element of the restaurant.
