Singapore HeritageFest 2025: A Celebration of Stories, Crafts, and Flavours

This May, Singapore HeritageFest returns with its 22nd edition, inviting everyone to explore the vibrant threads of our nation’s living heritage. Running from 1 to 25 May 2025, the festival celebrates our Intangible Cultural Heritage—from culinary traditions and crafts to performing arts and oral histories that continue to shape Singapore’s identity.

This year’s theme, Let’s Explore Stories, pays tribute to the customs, practices, and everyday narratives that connect generations.

With a lineup of tours, workshops, exhibitions, and performances spread across the island, the festival is more than just a look back—it’s an interactive journey into the heart of what makes Singapore unique.


Here are some interesting programmes that can be found on Singapore HeritageFest 2025:


1. Punch Needle Wearable Heritage Art Workshop

Hosted by Marina Central District and WithAutumn, this hands-on experience allows participants to create a punch needle brooch inspired by Peranakan tiles and iconic shophouse motifs. It is a fusion of heritage and contemporary craft—accessible to all skill levels. Find out more here!


2. Personalise Your Own Egg Tart Workshop at Tong Heng Delicacies

Cost: $48/pax

At Tong Heng Delicacies, a well-loved Chinese pastry brand since the 1920s, participants can create their own customised egg tarts, experimenting with fillings like coconut, kaya, and charcoal while learning traditional techniques. Find out more here!


3. Khong Guan Biscuit Factory Tour
