Overjoyed Bids Farewell to Retail Storefront as Cineleisure Outlet Closes

After nearly two decades of bringing joy to Singapore’s art and craft community, Overjoyed will be closing the doors of its Cineleisure outlet for good on 27 April 2025 at 8:30 PM. Known as a beloved alternative to big-box art stores, Overjoyed has long been a sanctuary for creatives looking for unique materials, artistic inspiration, and a community to call their own.

Founded in 2007 as an online store, Overjoyed grew from humble beginnings into expansive retail spaces at Golden Wall Centre, The Cathay, and finally Cineleisure Orchard, complete with a mini gallery and art workshop zone. The brand carved out a niche by offering carefully curated products for illustrators, designers, crafters, and hobbyists—always with an eye for quality and creativity.

As rental pressures and shifting retail dynamics reshape the landscape, Overjoyed is returning to its digital roots. This move is not a farewell to its mission, but rather a realignment that will allow the team to offer a broader range of products at more affordable prices, while remaining nimble and accessible online.

During this transition, the Marymount Factory Direct Store remains open with shorter operating hours. The team remains committed to providing customers with personal support and curated selections during this changeover period.
