Are overdue fines stopping you from borrowing more books from the library?
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the National Library Board (NLB) is inviting everyone to reconnect with their libraries in a refreshing way. From 6 Sep to 31 Dec 2025, library patrons across Singapore can enjoy a one-time waiver on overdue fines or redeem a complimentary Borrow-n-Deliver service worth S$8.72.
The NLB30 initiative is part of a wider effort to welcome patrons back to explore the wealth of books, digital content, and services available at the libraries. Those who have overdue fines incurred before 6 Sep 2025 simply need to borrow at least one item—physical or digital—by 31 Dec 2025 to have their eligible fines waived. Even eBooks and audiobooks qualify for the waiver, making it easier than ever to start afresh.

For patrons without outstanding fines, NLB is offering one complimentary Borrow-n-Deliver order, which allows users to have up to four library items delivered straight to their doorstep. With only 300 complimentary orders released weekly on a first-come, first-served basis, this is a limited-time initiative that brings the library experience home.
This initiative marks a warm gesture to reconnect Singaporeans with the joy of reading and rediscovery.
