Moonlit Magic: Mid-Autumn Festival Lights Up Gardens by the Bay

Ang Ku Kueh Girl and her cheerful friends invite visitors on a glowing journey through lantern-lit landscapes inspired by Singapore’s rich heritage.

Step into a whimsical world of nostalgia and celebration as Gardens by the Bay presents the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025, running from 22 Sep to 12 Oct 2025. This year’s festival pays tribute to SG60, Singapore’s 60-year journey, with beloved character Ang Ku Kueh Girl™ leading visitors through illuminated tales of kampung life, high-rise living, and treasured traditions.

Admission is free, making it the perfect outing for families and friends. The highlight event kicks off on 22 Sep 2025 with a mass Lantern Walk. Guests can redeem a complimentary lantern from 6.45pm to 7.30pm at the SG50 Lattice (beside Floral Fantasy) before joining the magical stroll starting at 7.30pm.

The Gardens come alive each evening from 6.00pm to 10.00pm with enchanting lantern displays. Key highlights include:

• "Our Kampung Spirit" and "The Coconut Alley" at Golden Garden

• "Mooncake Medley" and "Lanterns through Time" at Supertree Grove

• "Celebrating as One" at Dragonfly Lake featuring Ang Ku Kueh Girl™ & Friends

• "Guardians of Light: Merlion & Haetae" honoring 50 years of Singapore-Korea ties

• "Dream of Butterflies" by Shanghai YUYUAN Inc. marking 35 years of Singapore-China friendship

Beyond the displays, festival-goers can enjoy:

• Performances on selected dates by yIN Harmony, Reverberance, and more

• Workshops in lantern craft and tea appreciation from 26 Sep.

• Carnival games and street food at the bustling Marketplace

• The Garden Rhapsody light show, titled Tales of the Moon, at 7.45pm and 8.45pm nightly

Visitors are advised to use public transport due to limited parking and to bring only battery-operated lanterns, as open flames are not permitted.
