Food Trucks Take the Streets: Singapore Food Festival Rolls Out Mobile Feasts

A rare sight in the city, food trucks are making a bold return this August and September, dishing up unique and creative eats at key city spots.

Singapore may not be known for its food truck culture, but that’s changing — at least for the next few weeks. As part of the Singapore Food Festival 2025, a roaming pop-up series called Food Truck City Tour is set to bring mobile gourmet experiences to high-traffic hubs around the island.

Kicking off at Ocean Financial Centre from 18 to 22 August, these food trucks will serve from 11am to 8pm daily as part of the Singapore Food Festival. Expect a vibrant mix of heritage dishes, modern street bites, and culinary surprises designed to connect local tradition with contemporary flair.

For a city where hawker centres dominate and mobile dining is rare, this fleet of three food trucks signals something fresh. It’s a chance to experience the festival’s spirit in an urban, on-the-go format — convenient, creative, and community-focused.

With stops planned at Keppel South Central, Downtown East in Pasir Ris, and Geneo at Singapore Science Park, this tour is a flavourful addition to the city’s food calendar and a playful experiment in street-side dining.
