While many are busy preparing for the holidays, REFASH and Chinatown Point are championing a different kind of tradition this year—one that encourages action against plastic waste. Their collaborative initiative, "Drink. Clean. Drop.", is a festive recycling drive that invites the public to repurpose plastic bottles for the mall’s first-ever Green Christmas installation.

The campaign is simple but powerful. Participants are asked to:

  1. Drink their favourite bottled beverage

  2. Clean the bottle thoroughly

  3. Drop it off at selected REFASH stores:

    • Bedok Mall

    • Chinatown Point

    • Plaza Singapura

    • Tampines 1

    • Westgate

Every clean bottle collected will contribute to Refash and Chinatown Point’s eco-themed Christmas décor, sending a visual message about reuse and collective impact. The initiative ends on 05 Nov 2025, making it a timely and meaningful way to usher in the holiday spirit with a sustainable twist.

According to National Geographic, only 9 percent of all plastic produced has ever been recycled, while 79 percent ends up in landfills or the natural environment. Efforts like this campaign serve to close the gap between awareness and action, offering people a chance to give back—one bottle at a time.

This holiday, REFASH and Chinatown Point are showing that sustainability can be both stylish and seasonal.
