Punggol is taking a bold step into the future of transportation. Self-driving public shuttles are set to debut on local roads by the fourth quarter of 2025. As part of this exciting development, residents and visitors can now preview this innovative technology at the upcoming Autonomous Shuttle Roadshow, happening at Nexus at Punggol Digital District.

The two-day event at Punggol offers a unique opportunity to get up close with autonomous vehicle (AV) technology. Attendees can engage with immersive virtual reality experiences, see various AV models in the vehicle display zone, and learn about crucial safety features. Families can also enjoy interactive activities and giveaways, making it a vibrant and educational outing for all ages.

This initiative, organised by the Land Transport Authority and supported by JTC, aims to raise awareness and build public confidence in AV transport. If the pilot phase in Punggol proves successful, the technology could soon be introduced in other estates such as Tengah by early 2026.
