The National Environment Agency has announced full lane closures at Tuas Second Link on 23 July 2025 for a cross-border emergency response drill. From 5am to 2pm, all three lanes on the Singapore-to-Malaysia-bound side will be closed as agencies from both countries carry out a simulation of a chemical spill response.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and consider using the Woodlands Checkpoint as an alternative route. This is part of a planned safety exercise and poses no real danger to the public.
