Safety and Security Measures in Place
Police and security personnel will be on-site at Marina Bay and the Singapore Sports Hub to manage crowds and ensure public safety. Enhanced patrols will also be conducted. To prevent congestion, key areas such as The Promontory and Merlion Park at Marina Bay, as well as Stadium Roar and Water Sports Centre at Kallang Basin, will have regulated entry.
Cycling in Marina Bay and Kallang Basin is discouraged due to high pedestrian traffic, and pathways such as Esplanade Bridge and Bayfront Avenue are reserved strictly for transit purposes.
MRT and Traffic Advisory

Crowding is anticipated at MRT stations like City Hall, Raffles Place, and Stadium. Trains may bypass certain stations if necessary, and alternative nearby stations such as Esplanade, Promenade, or Mountbatten are recommended. The public is urged to follow directions from on-ground security personnel.
Road closures around Marina Bay will be in effect, with limited parking spaces available. Stopping vehicles along peripheral roads or the ECP to view fireworks is strictly prohibited, and violators will face enforcement action.
Post-event Dispersal
Post-event, dispersal is expected to be slow due to the large crowds. Designated exit routes and signage will facilitate orderly movement, and alternative MRT stations may be recommended to avoid overcrowding.
The police request public cooperation in adhering to instructions and maintaining patience throughout the festivities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable start to the New Year.
