Singapore is opening another 7 vaccination centres starting from today, 17th March!

According to Yahoo News Singapore, These 7 newly opened centres will join the rest of the 24 existing centres along with the 20 polyclinics and Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPCs), in offering vaccinations for members of the public in Singapore. MOH mentioned that by mid-April, there will be 40 vaccination centres expected to open islandwide.

The 4 new vaccination centres will use the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Previously, Singapore was only using the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for its mass vaccination exercise to combat COVID-19. However, today onwards, it will start to offer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the four new vaccination centres. These four are located at Hong Kah North Community Club (CC), Marsiling CC, Punggol 21 CC, and Dadin Mas CC.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will still be used at the other 3 new vaccination centres.

The other three new vaccination centres will still offer the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. They are located at Nanyang CC, Sengkang CC, Arena @ Our Tampines Hub.

Currently, the vaccination appointment slots are open only for frontline and healthcare workers, as well as seniors aged 60 and above. According to MOH, the slots will be made available to more public members from April onwards.
