Food, fireworks and family fun come together at the Marina Bay National Day Festival Fair running through 10 August 2025— a chance to support local and celebrate Singapore.

The Marina Bay National Day Festival Fair is underway at Bayfront Event Space, and the Singapore Night Bazaar is at its centre. Since its launch on 26 July 2025, many local stallholders have struggled with low footfall and disappointing sales, despite being located at a prime spot beside Marina Bay Sands.

One stall in particular has made a major impact. Hazel Chen, owner of the Kwazy Korndog stand, posted a heartfelt TikTok video revealing daily sales as low as S$14 and total losses projected to exceed S$10,000 for the event. This viral post drew attention after Chen said, “The location is good, the setup is pretty — but the crowd is just not coming in.”
The fair was planned as a signature National Day celebration with carnival rides, food stalls and riverfront views. Yet vendors say turnout fell far short of expectations due to limited promotion in advance.
Despite the difficult start, public response has grown since the TikTok plea. Chen shared that some visitors have since made their way to the bazaar, making purchases to support her and other vendors. Still, even with higher foot traffic near National Day weekend, breaking even remains unlikely.
