Chinese Garden at Jurong Lake Gardens welcomes visitors to a festive Lunar New Year celebration from early February to early March 2026. Marking the arrival of the Year of the Horse, the event brings together cultural performances, visual art, and garden experiences within one of Singapore’s most recognisable heritage landscapes.

Running daily from morning to night, the celebration offers a mix of daytime exploration and evening highlights. Visitors can stroll through Lunar New Year themed plantings and festive decorations placed throughout the garden, including lantern displays at landmarks such as the Twin Pagoda, Teahouse, and Stoneboat.

After sunset, the Grand Arch becomes a focal point as a light projection show illuminates the structure with motion and colour at regular intervals. The same area also hosts zodiac prediction boards that invite visitors to reflect on the year ahead in a festive setting.

Art and design take centre stage at the CITY SingaPOP exhibition, presented by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. The exhibition features bold visual works by Singapore-based French visual designer Nicolas Damiens, reimagining familiar architectural forms through a contemporary City Pop inspired lens.

Music enthusiasts can look forward to a one-night-only open-air performance by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra at Ficus Lawn. Set within the garden surroundings, the performance offers a rare opportunity to experience live orchestral music outdoors during the festive season.

For those interested in heritage and landscape design, guided tours of Chinese Garden are held every Saturday in February. These sessions explore the garden’s history, architectural features, and plant life, offering deeper insight into one of Singapore’s longstanding cultural spaces.
