IKEA is bringing the festive spirit to homes with its live Christmas trees, now available for in-store purchase at IKEA Alexandra and IKEA Tampines.

Shoppers can choose between 1.6-meter trees priced at $69 (usual price $79) and 2.0-meter trees at $89 (usual price $99), with discounts exclusive to IKEA Family members. Note that only 2.0-meter trees are currently available at IKEA Alexandra.

To help maintain the freshness of these live trees, IKEA recommends cutting about one inch of the trunk's base horizontally before setting it up. The tree base should be filled with ice cubes or cold water to ensure proper absorption, keeping the tree upright and hydrated. It is essential to maintain the water level above the freshly cut trunk to prolong the tree's life. With regular care, the tree can last up to six weeks, adding a festive touch throughout the holiday season.
IKEA also offers an eco-friendly solution for disposal after Christmas. Customers returning their trees between 04 Jan and 12 Jan 2025, will receive a $25 IKEA voucher. Returned trees will be responsibly disposed of as biodegradable yard waste.
